Super Alloy Technologies (SAT)

SAT manufactures high quality, high-tech golf club heads for some of the world's leading golf club brands. With more than 120 staff, SAT needed a larger site to meet their rapidly expanding export orders. They also needed to be close to the airport to meet urgent exporting demands.

Council identified a city-owned lot in Thomastown that met SAT's needs. By developing this new facility quickly, SAT was able to meet its production demands. SAT now leases the facility from Council under a commercial arrangement.

Howe Leather

Howe Leather, a major manufacturer employing over 300 people, needed new premises to meet its growing production orders. Howe approached Council to assist in facilitating the prompt development of their new site in Thomastown.

Council responded by working in partnership with the State Government to effect prompt re-zoning within 3 weeks, and provision of planning and development permits within 5 working days.

Global Customer Solutions (GCS)

GCS, a large local employer, required a 200-seat call centre. Council identified spare capacity in one of its own buildings. GCS now occupies this space under a commercial arrangement. GCS are operating successfully, with a staff turnover of only 4%, against an industry average of 29%.

Aquarium Industries Pty Ltd

Council worked with the owners to find a suitable site and introduced them to the owners of Northpoint Enterprise Park. They then became the first business to be located in this exciting new Industrial/Commercial estate.
